Everybody involved in the day to day operation of our company possesses expertise and hands on experience within the drainage industry which allows us to consistently provide reliable information to our clients over the phone, when preparing reports, quotations or onsite.

We also endeavour to consistently invest in our drainage engineers skill set by way of industry and safety training so we can achieve the best practice standards expected of us. We are fully committed to the ongoing process of adhering to the qualification process our peers set in order to obtain full membership to our trade associations.

Darren Vaughan

Darren has been working in the drainage industry for a total of 20 years. As well as being certified and experienced in all aspects of our services, Darren is also a Gas Safe registered plumbing and heating engineer.

Tony Cody

Drainage Industry Consultant

Having founded and, almost single-handed, built the company back in 2004, Tony is back after a well-earned break. Tony is a mine of knowledge concerning all drainage services and solutions to all drain problems. He has now been an engineer in the drainage industry for nearly 25 years.

We are certainly not limited to our current engineer certification and training guidelines and welcome any kind of alternative training or qualifications set by regulations, legal requirements or our customers requirements and are always ready to adapt accordingly.

The management team overseeing Pro-Drain Ltd and ensuring the company's ethos remains and is consistently delivered to our clients, is made up of extremely experienced drainage engineers, who are still very much on the frontline delivering our services - it is certainly not uncommon to see either unblocking a drain or in the thick of it undertaking an excavation.

NADC Members

Pro-Drain Ltd are also very proud members of the National Association of Drainage Contractors and participants in industry training under the National Drainage Academy.

Although the drainage industry sector is governed by law, health and safety regulations, building regulations and local water authority requirements we have never had the "Corgi registered, nor the now "Gas Safe Registered" type of organisation to vet contractors on safety and competence. That is effectively the domain of the NADC.

During the process and passing of the private lateral drain transfer bill in 2011, in which it was deemed that these particular sections of drainage, that connect our private drainage systems to the sewer, should have ownership transferred to, and the responsibility for maintaining such drain entrusted to, the "regulated" water companies and the higher tier contractors.

At the time this created some uncertainty and division between the smaller drainage companies as to the impact of the bill. However, we can now look back in hindsight and be thankful of at least one thing to emerge in the aftermath of the transfer. Two very competent and highly respected drainage engineers took it upon themselves to form an association "by the industry for the industry". Firstly, to unite the smaller drainage companies and secondly, to engage with the powers that be in recognising our importance, but most importantly communicate on behalf of our profession our desire for much needed regulation.

Over the past 9 years the NADC has gone from strength to strength and delivered a voice for our industry. With the certified contractor and drain safe schemes being approved by the energy & utility skills we now have regulated standards we can assure our customers with and showcase our competency.
